+ Trivia:
- He is the son of Sessei and Chie Mikado.
- He is, in actuality, Kenkyo's biological father. (unbeknownst to Kenkyo, who believes Kojo to be his elder brother)
- Due to foolish decisions he made in his youth, he wound up fathering Kenkyo with an older woman (in her mid-to-late teens at the time) when he was 13. Despite the negative memories surrounding Kenkyo's conception and birth, Kojo loves and cares for him very much.
- Little more than a child himself when Kenkyo was born, his parents took it upon themselves to raise Kenkyo themselves with Kojo as the "older brother" figure.
- As Kenkyo grew up, Kojo came to take the role of "the aloof older brother", believing that the less Kenkyo knew about him and the truth, the happier Kenkyo would be.
